Wilma Lou “Lucy” Carter, 83, of Johnston City formerly of Prineville, Oregon passed away at 8:46 PM on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at her daughter’s home.
She was born on November 9, 1935 in Johnston City, Illinois to Herman and Bessie (Walker) Cogdill.
She married Chief Petty Officer, Robert Carter. He preceded her in death.
Wilma loved sewing and doing crafts, cooking, baking bread and cinnamon rolls. She attended church in Prineville, Oregon where she and Robert lived for many years.
She is survived by a Daughter, Ann (Robert) of Johnston City, a Son, David (Marjie) of Tacoma, Washington, Grandchildren, 4 Brothers, C. Cogdill of Logan, Illinois, J (K) Cogdill of Chicago, Illinois, C (R A) Cogdill of California, Master Sergeant D Cogdill of Benton, Illinois, Many Other Relatives and Friends.
Wilma was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Robert Carter and Sister-in-Law, Virginia Cogdill.
Cremation will be accorded. No services or inurnment are planned at this time.
