Jerry was a carpenter. He died at age 54 a widower. He purchased Lot 17 on 24 Jun 1885 in what was called the Colored People Section.

This section is located off Rock Point road in the Peninsula Cemetery section that was cut off in 1964 for the I-70 Interstate/Tunnel project. A sign was erected years ago incorrectly calling this section the Manchester Cemetery.
