Graveside Funeral Services for Vollie Blackwell, Sr., age 76, of Slidell, LA, who passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019, will be held Friday, November 15, 2019, at 1:30 pm at Biloxi National Cemetery.
Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
A native of Marion County, MS, he served in the U.S. Navy. Vollie was an Owner/Operator of a Trucking Company, and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness .
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vollie Herman Blackwell, and Norlene Parker Blackwell; his brothers, Albert Theron Blackwell, and Kenneth Blackwell; and his sisters, Sandra Herring, and Brenda Rodriquez.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Vollie Blackwell, Jr., and Timothy Blackwell; his grandson, Timothy Luke Blackwell; his sister, Glenda Sue Blackwell; and his nephews and niece .
