Margie R. Long, 56, Marion, passed away in her home on Saturday, August 24, 2019. She was born in Michigan on Friday, June 28, 1963, to Patricia (Lahr) Buckler and adoptive father, Jiles Buckler. On July 22, 1980, she married her loving husband, Douglas W. Long, and he survives.
Margie attended Marion Community Schools and was a member of First Eel River Baptist Church in Churubusco. Her grandchildren were her life, and she enjoyed watching the shows I.D. and Duck Dynasty.
She is also survived by her mother, Patricia Buckler; son, Douglas (Kassandra Schambers) Long, Jr., of Auburn; two daughters, Josie (Samuel McClung) Long of Marion and Joy Justice of Marion; three grandsons, Richard "JR" Justice, Jr., Gavin Huff, and Jeziah "Little Man" Campbell; three granddaughters, Gabby Long, Zahara "Little Mama" McClung, and Zendaya "Big Mama" McClung; two brothers, Kelly Buckler of Marion and Scott (Ruby) Buckler of MO; three sisters, Rhonda (Chuck) Handley of TN, Candy (Bill) Dobish of AL, and Mary (Bobby) Knight of Converse; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jiles Buckler, and granddaughter, Anna Long.
A service to celebrate Margie's life was held on Friday, September 6, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN., with Pastor Kerry Niman officiating. Burial took place at Grant Memorial Park.
