M. S. Ballard died:
M.S. Ballard died Wednesday at Wichita after a lingering illness. He was about 81 years of age and had lived an active and useful life. The bidy was brought to Hazelton on Thursday and funeral services held Friday after which he way laid way in Rosehill cemetery beside his wife who preceded him in death beside his wife, who preceded him in death several years ago.

Morgan E. Ballard was born Mar 29, 1839 at Xenia, OH, died July 30, 1919 at Wesley hospital Witchita age 80 years, 4 months and 1 day. He was married to Margaret Chenoweth, September 20, 1860. His wife and mother of his children departed this life April, 28, 1910. In their early life they both united with the M.E. church at Olive Chapel Ohio, from which place their membership was never removed.

He had been in failing health for a number of years and was taken to the Wesley hospital at Witchita, early in May of the present year, He was the last of a family of 5 children, and survived by 3 sons and a daughter all of which are residents of this community. These relatives have the sympathy of their many friends in this time of sorrow.

The funneral was conducted by Rev H.W. Cun=mmins of Anthony at the M.E. Church Friday afternoon. He leaves to mourn him, a daughter, Miss Anna, and three sons, W.S., Ottis and Harley all of whomw have sincere sympathy of a wide circle of friends,
