Mr. Edward Allen "Ed" Austin, 76, of Troy passed away 9:57 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Bo McEwen, Brother Jim Roberts and Brother Johnny Michael will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Roney, Terry Hinson, Lyn Maloney, Spenser Maloney, William Shipp and Tim Maynard.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Austin was born March 21, 1943, in Burns, Mississippi, son of the late Quitman Allen and Gladys Austin. He married Brenda (Prater) Austin September 2, 1966. She survives. Ed had been employed at Tri State International and retired from the Obion County Bus Garage where he was a diesel mechanic and CDL trainer. He was a former member of the Obion County Rescue Squad for 20 years where he served as co captain and equipment officer and was a member of the Tyre Masonic Lodge 587 in the Crystal community.

He is also survived by one daughter, Tracy Forgy (Patrick) of McKenzie; one son, Brian Austin (Laurie) of Troy; five grandchildren, Ashley Shipp (William), Austin Forgy, and Olivia Forgy all of McKenzie, Cody Austin (Andrea) of Martin, and Brady Austin (fiancee Katelyn) of Troy; and three great grandchildren, Parker Grace Lyons and Presley Shipp both of McKenzie and Gabriella Austin of Martin.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Austin.
