Died, at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct.28, 1907, at the family residence, 101 East Allen street, of paralysis. Wallace T. Stockdale, aged 64 years, 9 months, 3 days.
The decedent is survived by his wife, one son Thomas S. of Harrington, Arizona; two daughters, Alice and Mabel Stockdale of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Alice Fullenwider of Crawfordsville, Ind.
Mr. Stockdale was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio, in 1843. He came with his parent to this city when three years old and had since resided here. He was one of the first three boys to graduate from the Springfield high school. After completing his course at the high school he attended Wesleyan college at Bloomington and also graduated from the Bryant & Stratton Business college of St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. Stockdale was admitted to the bar in 1868 but spent the most of his life in clerical work. It was while engaged as bookkeeper for the R. Haas Electrical Company, four years ago that he was first stricken with paralysis. - IL State Register, Springfield, IL
