Catherine Anne Crook

Cathy Our angel daughter was born 1 June 1959 in Reno, Washoe, NV to Michael and Peggy Theobald Crook. She suffered a stroke on Wednesday, March 14th and graduated from her mortal school on Saturday, March 17, 2007. Cathy loved all animals, especially horses, and was extremely happy to own "Waco," a thoroughbred quarter horse. Her pet cockatiel, "Angel," is already missing her. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1978 and loved traveling with her family. She enjoyed rafting the Colorado River and touring the parks of Utah, Wyoming and Idaho with groups of young adults and her friends at Camp Kostopulos. Everyone was Cathy's best friend. She worked part-time for the University of Utah in the Chemistry building as a custodian and as a teacher's aide for DDI Vantage in West Valley, where she was a loyal and dedicated worker. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving wherever she was asked.

Cathy is survived by her parents, Michael and Peggy Crook of West Jordan; sister, Staci (LaMont) Snarr of Bluffdale and brother, Jonathan Crook of Sparks, Nevada; sister-in-law, Jacque Crook of Springville and 15 nieces and nephews, grandmother, Jean Theobald of Reno, Nevada and many aunts and uncles all who love her dearly.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 23rd, 11:00 a.m. at the Elm Creek Ward, 8539 South 2200 West, West Jordan. A viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road and one hour prior to services at the church. The family wishes to thank the many people who have been kind to Cathy over the years. You are numerous and we are grateful. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Kostopulos Dream Foundation or Salt Lake Advocacy and Community Training.
