Ms. Gloria Faye Walton, age 78, of Covington, died Monday, November 4, 2019, at her residence.

Ms. Walton was born May 16, 1941 in Covington, the daughter of the late Roy Bell Finney and Katie Montgomery Finney Batten. A lifetime member of this community, she was employed as a hairdresser. Gloria was a member of Faith Baptist Church where she was in the Bible Study Class as well as the Sunday school class and enjoyed playing senior bingo.

Ms. Walton is survived by a son, and wife; two daughters; six grandchildren; special friend; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Walton was preceded in death by a half brother, Ronald Glen Batten.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 8, 2019, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Price officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:30 P.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Faith Baptist Church, 311 Jackson Dr. Covington, VA 24426.
