Elizabeth Ann Teel, 64, of Christopher passed peacefully November 4, 2019. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Born December 23, 1954 in Blue Island, IL to Dwight W. and Virginia L. (Allen) Croessman,
Ann was a graduate of Du Quoin High School's Class of 1972 and earned her associate degree from Southern Illinois University in 1975.
She married her husband, Forrest M. Teel, May 21, 1977 at the First Christian Church in Du Quoin.
Ann was employed as the secretary for the chairman of SIU's Office of Educational Leadership. She later worked with special needs children at Christopher Grade School. Upon retirement, she found a passion for collecting and selling antiques and memorabilia.
She is survived by her husband, Forrest; children, H. M. (L.) Teel of Paducah, KY and M. A. (Luis) Teel of Toa Baja, Puerto Rico; grandchildren; and two brothers, A. W. (N.) Croessmann of Madison, NJ and J. H. (B.) Croessman of Okawville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 9th at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Du Quoin.
