CHESTER M. CALL
DIES FOLLOWING
AN ACCIDENT

Chester M. Call, died Wednesday from a number of complications that developed after a fall only a short time before. No one realized until a day or two before his death that his condition was serious.

Not long ago, he was carrying out a roll of roofing paper at Morrison Merrills when he failed to observe that it was a step down and fell, striking his elbow on the cement pavement with the roll of paper on his shoulder. At first it was thought he was not seriously hurt but in a day or two, his arm became badly swollen and the doctor lanced the same believing that puss had gathered there. When the doctor lanced it, the blood spurted out with such force that the doctor discovered he had high blood pressure and later it was found that his arm was broken.

He was taken to the hospital Saturday, in a critical condition, Monday and Tuesday he seemed to be improving, but Tuesday evening he was taken worse and Wednesday morning he passed away.

At a postmortem examination held Wednesday evening it was decided that death was due to a blood tumor caused by the breaking of his arm which caused blood poisoning.

Mr. Call son of Israel and Dora White Call, was born in Wilford, Arizona, April 11, 1884 but has lived in Bountiful practically all his life. He has been active in Church work, having been a member of South Davis stake Y M M I A and Sunday school boards and a scoutmaster of Troop 108.

He is survived by his wife, Maud Parkin Call, five sons, Otis M., Chester P., Blaine P., Frank P., and Verne, two daughters, Beth and Madge, his father, Patriarch Israel Call, two grandchildren, all of Bountiful, and the following brothers and sisters, Israel B. Call, Chesterfield Idaho, John A. and Vincent O. Call, and Mrs. Hattie Wilson, Bountiful, Schuyler Call, Murray, Ambrose Call, Logan, Willard Call, Ogden; Mrs. Adelaide C. Bergesen, Lewiston, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 30, at 2 p. m. in the Bountiful Second ward chapel with Bishop James E. Burns in charge.

Interment will be in the Bountiful cemetery.

G. W. Graham is the undertaker in charge.
