Thompson – Bernice L. Thompson age 78 of Covington, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, November 8, 2019 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, with Karen Thompson officiating. The burial will follow at East Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens, Lawrenceville. Mrs. Thompson was a bus driver with the Gwinnett County Board of Education. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Thompson; parents, Wilson & Maggie Long, Sr.; brother Wilson Long, Jr. She is survived by daughter, Karen Thompson, Covington, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Wesley & Linda Long, Sr., Gadsden, AL: grandchildren, Justin Atkins & Daniell Hart; Paige & Stuart Somervail; Austin & Daisy Phillips; Chandler Phillips, and numerous other family and friends.
