Brenda, age 77, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Monday Dec 10, 2018.
She had lived for many years in Leesburg, Florida and Oswego, New York.
Brenda was born on April 16, 1941 to the late Francis "Owen" and Evalyn LaForce, lifelong residents of Parish New York. Brenda grew up in Parish and graduated from APW High School as the valedictorian of her class. Following high school she attended the College of Education at SUNY Oswego. Brenda was very active in the college choir, her sorority and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.
She married the love of her life, Robert Cooper Jr in 1961. They continued to grow their lives together while raising their three daughters, Robin, Heath and Alison. Brenda worked in the classroom as an elementary school teacher for many years, pouring herself into her students' lives. She also was involved in her local churches over the years leading through son and piano.
Brenda is survived by her husband, her three daughters, seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, a brother and family in Norway and a number of other loving relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Jill. Brenda requested a memorial service and home going Heaven celebration. Her memorial service will be held at l p.m. July 13 at the Methodist Church in Parish N Y As her family, we wish to thank each of those who cared for her during the past few years and especially Cornerstone Hospice in her last days.
Looking back at her life as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, the words that speak of her love of family and the Lord are "Well done, good and faithful servant."
