She was a retired Union Bank employee, homemaker and attended Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church and Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Monticello.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Doyle, Morrell and J.D. Calhoun.
Survivors include her husband, R.H. Casteel of Monticello; two sons, Robert Carroll "Bob" Casteel and wife JoAnn of Jonesboro and Hershall Wayne Casteel and wife Karen of Benton; one daughter, Barbara Elaine Strickland and husband Jerry of Jacksonville; one sister, Betty Rosenberger of Hensley; five grandchildren, Robin Casteel, Mary McDade Casteel, Laura Liles, Amber Strickland Holden and Jeremy Strickland; ten great grandchildren, Ollie Casteel, Fedora Young, Bea Young, Gabriel Liles, Jocelyn Liles, Rainer Liles, Jackson Holden, Elaina Holden, Nathan Strickland and Parker Strickland; two step grandchildren, Holly Ann Young and Justin Frost; and one step great grandchild, Korbyn Frost.
