Obituary for Mr Billy Franklin Key
Billy Franklin Key, 46, of Columbia, died Monday, May 27, 2019. Billy was born in Raleigh, NC, on March 31, 1973, to William Franklin Key and Brenda Hatley Campbell. Billy was raised in the Methodist Church and worked as a R & D Technician. He loved to fish, kayak, and be outdoors. Always willing to give advice, he was never without a smile on his face. Billy was a very loving, kind and generous man to anyone in need.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sherry Key; sisters, Robbie Campbell (Tony), and Mary Dinkins (Travis); nieces and nephews, Robert Campbell (Nicole Blas), Kristin Carver (Trey), Hannah Campbell, Katelyn Dean, Meagan Dyson (Will Collins) and Dawson Lee; uncle, Mark Hatley (Harriett); mother-in-law, Jan Kelly; sister-in-law, Ashley Kelly; as well as numerous cousins, great nieces, great nephews; and a host of friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Key will be held 1 o’clock, Thursday, May 30th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Pastor Jeff Grubbs will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
