(from the West Branch Times, Aug 17, 2012) "Mildred "Millie" Helen (Yoder) Conner, 88, formerly of Crete, Neb., died while surrounded by family Aug. 1, 2012, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Millie was born to Otho O. Yoder and Helen R. (Hoover) Yoder on Oct. 28, 1923, in West Branch, Iowa. She was married to Robert H. Conner on July 9, 1945.

She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-spouse, Robert H. Conner; children and their spouses: Sid and Cheryl Conner of Crete, Brad and Connie Conner of Papillion, and Randy and Sandra Conner of Barronett, Wis., Connie and Monte Haeffner of Lincoln; four granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister Peg Anderson of West Liberty, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held Aug. 6, 2012, in Crete, Neb., at the Kunci Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Plymouth Congregational Church in Crete, Capital Humane Society of Lincoln, or the People's City Mission in Lincoln, Neb.
