Kathleen R. Holt, 83, was born to William and Eileen (nee Karsten) Matthes on November 18, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois.
She passed into eternal rest with our Lord Jesus Christ at home with her loved ones after battling Alzheimer's disease for other eight years.
On August 2, 1958, she married Arthur C. Holt, Jr. at St. Gilbert's Catholic Church in Grayslake, Illinois. Together they had five children, Elizabeth Seegers, Harvard, Illinois; Sheila Holt, Lubbock, Texas; Christopher (Carolyn) Holt, Walworth, Wisconsin; Patrick Holt, Harvard, Illinois; and Michael Holt, McHenry, Illinois. Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Kathleen was a graduate of Rosary College, River Forest, Illinois. She was active in the Catholic Church as Past President of The Rockford Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. A Lady Commander with Star of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. She also served as a Board Member for the Pioneer Center in McHenry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Meredith; brothers, Robert and Charles; and a son-in-law, David Seegers.
Visitation will be at St. Patrick's Church, 14980 St. Patrick Road, Hartland, IL one hour before the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017.
