On December 19, 1942, Ray married the love of his life, Eva Mae Ball; they raised three children.
Ray was a proud WW II Veteran and a retired construction superintendent in Los Angeles, CA. He retired Head Captain at San Anita and Hollywood Park Racetracks. In 1985, he returned to Carthage where he stayed active and enjoyed retirement.
Ray is survived by his son, Gary Hamilton and wife Marion of Thomasville, GA. Also surviving are four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Burial was held on Saturday, June 28, 2018 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage, MO.
