Gladys Marie Schilling Young was sent from Heaven on January 26, 1930, and returned to her heavenly home on November 2, 2019.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents Fred Schilling and Theresa Rein Schilling; by her brothers William (Nell) and Raymond; and by her sisters and brothers-in-law Rita (Othal “Buddy” Miller), Rose (Val “Sonny” Robicheaux), and Claire (John Reese). Gladys was the widow of Emile Young, Sr.
She is survived by her sister Hazel (Ray Palermo); her six children: Emile (Roger), Raymond (Linda), Robert (Kathy), Theresa(Omar Pellerano), Wanda (Nick Gaudin), and William; her six grandchildren: Raymond, Jr. (Amanda), and Bridget; Rachel (Dustin Gobert), Kayla; Nicole (Stephen Villere); and Allie (Devin Gaethe); and her eleven great-grandchildren: Roland, Jaster, and Garrett Young; Talan, Keelan, and Braelyn Gobert; Cecilia Villere; and Baylee, Harlee, Mackenlee, and Ryan Gaethe.
Services for Gladys will be held on Thursday, November 7 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard), mass in the funeral home chapel at 11:00.
