She was born Oct. 22, 1908, in Rutledge, Mo., the daughter of Phillip Grant and Lucy Goodson McFarland.
She married Harland K. Olmsted on June 14, 1947, in Galesburg. He died in 1957.
Surviving are three stepsons, Rodney Olmsted and Kenneth Olmsted, both of Galesburg, and Donald Olmsted, Geneseo; nine step-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
She was graduated from Galesburg High School.
She was an aide at the former Galesburg State Research Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 1973.
She was a member of First Christian Church, and Royal Neighbors of America.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. David Seitz officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and to First Christian Church.
