Philanthropist. Harold Stuart was an Eagle Scout at age 12. A court judge from 1941 to 1942. A highly decorated veternan receiving a bronze star, six battle stars, the Medal of Freedom of Norway and the Department of Air Force Exceptional Service Award. From 1949 to 1951 he was assistant secretary of the Air Force, having been named in that position by President Harry Truman. Harold Stuart was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame (1983). Harold Stuart was the husband of actress Julia (Frances) Langford. They were married on November 18, 1994. Harold and Frances were instrumental in Martin Memorial Medical Center's first heart facility known as the Frances Langford Heart Center in Stuart, Florida.
