She was a graduate of Harrisburg Catholic High School Class of 1949, a former employee of Olmsted Air Force Base, Delta Hosiery, and Kauffman Cleaners.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton, St. Aloysius Club, St. Lawrence Club and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #382.
Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph G. and Mary Kajko Sviben and is survived by three sons, John J. Manley of Steelton, Patrick S. Manley and his wife, Denise of Gettysburg, and Richard E. Manley of Steelton; one daughter, Mary Frances Manley of Harrisburg; one brother, Lawrence Sviben of Hershey; one sister, Anna J. Sviben of Steelton; a close family friend, Pam Neubaum; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Stephen, John, Michael and Joseph Sviben.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with the Very Rev. David L. Danneker, her Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S. Second St., Steelton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, 815 S. Second St., Steelton.
