Michael Gerald Sparks of West Liberty, KY, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY, at the age of 64 years, 8 month, and 13 days. He was born Monday, February 21, 1955 at West Liberty, KY, son of the late Carl George & Suda Keeton Sparks.

Michael was a retired truck driver. He was a Christian and a member of the Lick Branch Enterprise Baptist Church. He was a loving brother and uncle and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Sonny Leon Sparks; and two sisters, Nelvie Brewer and Joyce Ann Sparks.

He is survived by one brother, Lenville & Avonell Sparks of Chattanooga, TN; two sisters, Berneaze & David Adkins of West Liberty, KY and Dolly & John Blankenship of Pikeville, KY; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; two great nephews and three great nieces.

Funeral service 1 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Roger Skaggs officiating. Burial to follow in the Anthony Ison Cemetery, Moon, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home.
