Paul Edward Marshall, 78, of Burbank, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster after a battle with cancer.
Paul was born May 9, 1941 in Wayne County, WV to the late Boyd and Pearl (Napier) Marshall and was a graduate of Buffalo High School in Wayne, WV. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1958 – 1962 and on January 3, 1961 married the former Betty Stephens who survives. He retired after 32 years of service in 2000 from LTV Steel and had made his home in Burbank since 1978. He was a Norwayne Football Fan and was an avid gardener. Paul raised and showed Arabian Horses and was most proud of having had a National Champion and he was active in passing the bill that gives right of ownership of water to home owners in Ohio.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; children, Paula Ribel of Huntington, WV, Kim (Brad) Napier of Wooster and John Marshall of Creston; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters and 7 brothers, Arbutus (Paul) Dobbins of Orrville, Bernard (Gwen) Marshall of Kenova, WV, Frank Marshall of Missouri, Tommy (Mickey) Marshall of Lodi, Benny (Cathy) Marshall of Wooster, Louise (Danny) Simmons of Meadville, PA, Roger (Dina) Marshall of Harrisville, WV, Randy (Linda) Marshall of Apple Creek and Tony (Sue) Marshall of Harrisville, WV and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Marshall Jr. in 2013 and a grandson, Paul Marshall III in 2000.
Graveside services will be held Monday, Oct. 28th at 2:00 p.m. at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
