Harold Black
Harold Black, 82, of 900 N. Rutledge died at 4:50 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pittsubrg, Kan., he was self-employed roofer prior to his retirement. Mr. Black was a member of the Central Ledge 71 AF&AM and Ansar Shrine.
He is survived by two daughters. Mrs. Opal Langenbach of Springfield, Mrs. Thelma Higbee of Palm City, FLa.: brother, Alva Black of Mexico, Mo.; sister Edna O'Brien of Mexico, Mo.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Bisch Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

BLACK- Remains of Harold Black of 900 N. Rutledge are at Bisch Memorial Home where friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and until time of services there at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Dale Catlin officiating. Central Lodge 500 AF&AM Masonic Rites at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Harold Black Dies in Springfield, Ill.
Harold C. Black, 82, formerly of Mexico, died Saturday evening in Springfield, Ill. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Bisch Memorial Home in Springfield.
Mr. Black was a son of the late Charles and Parolee Lewellen Black, born Jan. 6, 1891. He was married to Miss Minnie Atkins, who died in 1960.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Opal) Langenbach of Springfield, and Mrs. Earnest (Velma) Higbee of Palm City, Fla.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Alva Black, and a sister, Mrs. Edna O'Brien of Mexico. One daughter, Mrs. Nelson (Dorothy) Clark, died in 1969. A brother, Clarence, and a sister, Mrs. Grace Cole also preceded him in death.
