He died at the age of 81. His wife was Alice, born Yelvertaft, England Feb 10, 1815-May 6, 1897, buried same cemetery.
In the 1860 census in Elyria, Lorain, Ohio, Joseph and wife Alice were living with their 6 children, all born in England: Jonathan age 20, Mary age 18, Jos age 16, Thomas age 13, Sarah age 8 and Ann age 4.
