On July 31, 2019, Lisa-Ann Marie Walker, 61, a United States Coast Guard Chief (ret.) departed this earthly vessel. She was the loving daughter of Bernice Rosario and Nesby ‘Dick’ Kelley, and sister to Wylena DeVone and Domingo Sanchez (deceased).Lisa leaves to celebrate her legacy of service beloved fiancé Dwayne Scott, son Justin Jones, daughter Regina Jones and grandchildren Raegan, Major, Asa and Carter. She is also celebrated by nephew Andre Walker, niece Sophronia Woods, and her best friend Cheryl Pettiway (fka Cheryl Graham).
Lisa’s priority in life was her family, closely followed by the love she had for her friends and her unwavering support for service members transitioning from Military to civilian life. Up until her passing, she was actively engaged in a myriad of veteran organizations, positively impacting the lives of veterans across the state of Maryland and beyond. She lived life to the fullest, and her generosity, love and affection resulted in lifelong bonds with anyone she crossed paths with. Her adventurous spirit led her to experience all the world has to offer, and she never turn down an invitation to bingo or a late night casino run…ever.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Lisa’s life at the Lasting Tribute Funeral Home, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD, on Saturday, August 17th from 10AM to 12PM, followed by a more proper send off at 453 Queenstown Road in Severn. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Lisa’s name may be made to the American Legion https://www.members.legion.org/tal/donatenow#legion-org, or to any organization that directly supports veterans.
