Ella Mae was born in Carter County to the late John and Hattie Hill Head. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Jackson; two sons, Kevin Jackson and Ernest Kent Jackson; two sisters, Hannah Lee Carter and Viola Morgan; and two brothers, Eugene Head and Ernest Head.
