David Ray Hale, was called to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. He passed away at home surrounded by his loving family.

David was born at home in Harrison, Arkansas, to Robert and Viola Hale on November 6, 1939. The family later moved to Washington State and settled in Naches.

In 1958, Dad met his true-life partner, Bonita Purdom, and on January 24, 1959, Dad and Mom were married. They started their family a few years later, adding Karl, John and Rhonda. They were together for over 58 years before she passed on August 25, 2017.

Our Dad worked hard all his life to make sure his family had everything they needed. His loyalty and faithfulness to his friends and family was never questioned. He enjoyed his vegetable garden, metal detecting, fishing, hunting and long drives in the mountains with his very close friend, Kip Ramsey.

He is lovingly survived by his sons Karl and John (Maureen) Hale; daughter Rhonda (David) Karnitz; brothers Robert “Sonny” Hale and Don Hale; sisters Roberta (Mark) Peterson, Betty McCullough, Sharon Bernard and Susie Hale; grandchildren Thomas (Whitney), Jacob (Theresa), Samantha, Sabrina (Patrick), Valerie, Riann, Mandy and Jessie; great-grand child Aubrey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonita Hale; his parents Robert and Viola Hale; brother Ron Hale; sisters Wanda Jean Shelton and Mary Modean Schloss.

We would like to thank Jeannie and Jackie from Memorial Hospice for their compassion and guidance through this very difficult time. We couldn’t have done it without them.

Graveside service will be held at West Hills Memorial Park on November 1, 2019, at 1:30 pm.
