WOMAN, 73, DIES AFTER REUNION WITH BROTHER

Galena, Kan., Feb. 26. -- Mrs. Nancy B. Bramble, 73 years old, of Aroma, Mo., a former Galena resident, died at 12:25 o'clock Friday morning at Granby, Mo., where she had been a patient more than a week.

Mrs. Bramble, who had been out of contact with any of her family for several years, was reunited only last week with her brother, Walter Webb of Galena Heights, after her attending physician had told her her chances of recorvery were slight. She told friends at Aroma, where she had lived the last seven years, that she had no relatives.

She had lived alone since the death of her husband, George Bramble, in Mexico several years ago. They lived in Galena many years before going to Mexico, where they operated a cattle ranch. George Bramble and the late Porter M. Clark operated a furniture store here about 55 years ago in Empire City, now Galena Heights.

She is survived, besides her brother, by two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Honeywell and Mrs. Ida Ranahan of Gillespie, Ill. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Empire mission in Galena Heights, with the Rev. William Alexander of Joplin officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Derfelt-Booe funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ira Phipps, Lee Phipps, Bob Link, Frank Tryon, Don Gaede and Paul Ferguson. The body will be taken to the home of Walter Webb in Galena Heights this afternoon, where it will lie in state until 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, when it will be taken to the church.

She was the daughter of Thomas Webb & Lucy Nichols Webb.

Nancy married Milton F. Tanner on 7/13/1918 in Carthage, MO. Also found them in the 1920 Newtonia Twp., Newton Co., MO census, with Nancy's mother, Lucy Nichols Webb, living with them. In 1930 Nancy was living in Empire City with her mother's brother, William F. Nichols and she is listed as being widowed. Milton F. Tanner is listed in Newton Co., MO also listed as a widower. Apparently they divorced and he died in 1953.
