Anna Belle Polsfuss Fell asleep in Jesus, peacefully at her home near Oakland, Oregon, on Saturday, October 10, 2009. She was 85 years old. Anna Belle was Born on August 16, 1924, in Linton, Indiana, to Ruth Arbaugh and Joseph Logsdon. Her five brothers,"were a tremendous blessing in her life. In the 1940's Anna Belle served her country by joining the military. During this time,' she fell in love with and married Gordon Polsfuss, a pilot who flew for the Air force during World War II. They spent 64 years by each other's side. Gordon was there with her as her journey on this earth came to a close. Together, they raised three children, lost one in death and raised a grandchild as their own. Eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren are also a part of the lovely legacy Ann leaves behind. Family meant everything to her. During her life, she was quick to open her home and heart to many others who were in need. Anna Belle accepted Jesus as her Savior in the 1950's and served and loved Him faithfully everyday since. Her spiritual wisdom and depth of relationship with Jesus caused her to be a valuable and sought after counselor to many. She inspired Faith, wherever she went. Anna Belle was a poet, an author, an avid student of the Bible and devoted to prayer. She loved collecting beautiful rocks, being creative in her home, the color gold and holiday celebrations with family. She loved to cook for people and very much enjoyed worshipping and studying with her church family at the TurningPoint Seventh-Day Adventist church in Roseburg. She will be missed, more than words can express. For now...we say good-night to our Ann, but only "Till Jesus comes!"
