Sharon Kay Campbell, 84, of Elkhart, passed away of natural causes, Tuesday morning, October 29, 2019, at Elkhart General Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Sharon was born October 15, 1935, in Bourbon, Indiana to the late Harry and Francis (Kester) Ganger. Survivors include her loving children, Charles Stout and wife Carol, Steve Stout and wife Kathleen, Mike Stout and his wife Jeanne; 11 grandchildren whom she adored, Daniel & Erin Perrin, Matthew (& Kelsey McLaughlin) Stout, LaVerne Stout; Daniel & Erik Milholland, Steven & Betty Stout, Brooke & Andy Price; Jason & Paula Richardson, Ben & Sandy Egerton, Jared & Michelle McLeod, Stacey & James Parrish, Angie & Chris Cleveland, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Emmy Vegar, Jacquie Munger; her daughter-in-law- Debra Stout and 3 step-daughters, Brenda Nicely, Minda Campbell and Pam Campbell.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband LaVerne Campbell, brothers John and Louie Ganger and her sister Micky Rushford. a son Richard Stout Jr., 2 grandchildren Tracey Uhl and her husband Troy, Charles Stout Jr. (Chip), two great-grandchildren.

Sharon worked as a waitress at Falcone’s Restaurant and Bar for 25 years, she retired from Kroger’s where she worked in the deli. She was a longtime member of the Willowdale Church of Christ in Elkhart. She was a caring person and enjoyed taking care of her yard and visiting people. Sharon truly excelled in her role as a wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma. Family get-togethers, especially around the holidays were a special time she looked forward too.

Friends may call from 5-8 pm Thursday, at Billings Funeral Home and also 1 hour prior to the 11:00 am Friday, funeral service at Willowdale Church of Christ, 1400 Willowdale Ave. Elkhart. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Sharon's name are kindly requested to Riley Children’s Research Hospital.
