Debbie Knack-Simpson, 64, of Okoboji passed away at her home in Okoboji on October 26, 2019.
Private graveside services for Debbie will be held at a later date at the Jefferson Cemetery in Jefferson, IA.
Debbie was born on May 16, 1955 in Spirit Lake to George and Beverly (Rohovit) Knack. She graduated from Pratt School of Individual Instruction in 1973 and then earned her certification as a CNA at Iowa Lakes Community College.
She was united in marriage to Ivan Simpson in 1985 at Gull Point State Park. To this union 2 children were born, Sarah and Adam. After the couple separated, Debbie moved to Okoboji.
Debbie was a homemaker and from time to time she would work in the lakes area as a waitress, housekeeper, and did light work at the Cenla Campground and Americinn.
In her free time, she enjoyed crafting and working on art projects. She was a wonderful cook and excellent piano player.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Sarah (Brent) Brekke of Bondurant, IA and Adam (Tasha) Simpson of Spirit Lake; grandchildren Landon Brekke, Lane and Lukas Simpson and her mother Beverly Knack of Okoboji.
She was preceded in death by her father and her sister Penny Knack.
