Dawna J. Smith, 51, of Parsons, Kansas, died at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at her home.
She was born Feb. 26, 1956, in Parsons, Kansas, to Max R. Stephens and Billie Jo (Trammell) Stephens.
She graduated from Parsons High School in 1975.
On May 24, 1974, she married Robert D. "Bob" Smith at Central Avenue Christian Church in Parsons, Kansas.
Survivors include husband, Robert D. "Bob" Smith of the home; three daughters, Shannon Chowdhury and husband, Rayeez, of Overland Park, KS, Stacy Smith and Stephanie Smith, both of Parsons, KS; four grandchildren, Breena J. Smith, Waseef Chowdhury, MarKell R. Smith and Hakeem R. Webb; two brothers, Steve Stephens of Salem, OR, and Terry Dessenberger of Parsons, KS; a sister, Pam Conrad of Parsons, KS; a brother-in-law, Kenny Smith of Overland Park, KS; a sister-in-law, Karen Smith of Parsons, KS; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Heather Dawn, in 1974; a brother, Rocky Stephens; a sister, Cheryl Head; and an infant brother, Ricky Stephens.
Burial will be July 14, 2007, in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Parsons, Kansas.
