Pfc. Anthony Lattanzio, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lattanzio of 113 Park Place, was killed in action in France, July 3, according to a a telegram from the war department received yesterday by his parents.

The last letter his family received was dated June 16. At that time he was stationed in England where he has been since going overseas in February. He had not participated in any fighting up to that time.

Private Lattanzio entered service January 19, 1943 and received basic training at Camp Bowie, Texas. He was serving with a tank battalion.

He attended Nott Terrace High School and was formerly employed with his father in the Lattanzio Bros. Sand and Gravel Co. His brother, Louis was serving with the marines overseas when notified of Private Lattanzio's death. He was allowed to return to the states and is expected home within the next few days.
