Barbara Jean Carskadon, 81 of Canton, Missouri passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Il.

The daughter of Roy and Faye Higbee Moon was born on November 19, 1937 at Gregory Landing, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to James R. “Jim” Carskadon at Canton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1998.

Barb was a member of Bluff Springs United Methodist Church. She owned and operated Jim’s Mobile Home Park in Canton, and formerly worked at Hurley Shoes and Culver-Stockton College. She liked gardening and taking care of her animals and she would provide transportation to church for the elderly.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Clark of Canton, Mo.; two grandchildren, Kimberly Clark of Union, N.J. and Douglas Clark of Canton, Mo.; two nephews, John Moon of Colorado and Terry Moon of Canton, Mo.; several great nieces & nephews; and her companion for many years, Tony Foust of Canton, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Eston Moon.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Bluff Springs United Methodist Church in rural Canton with Rev. Barb Hagerla officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Springs Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Arnold’s Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
