Mr. Elmer Ray Turner, age 70 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Turner was born in Carroll County, Georgia on May 14, 1949, the son of the late Olin Clarence Turner and Nellie Hudgins Turner. He was retired business owner of Jiles-Turner Septic and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Turner was an avid hunter, lover of animals, gardening, the ocean but most of all his family.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janice J. Turner; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Trent Marlow, Melinda and Phil Altman; sons and daughters-in-law, Randon and Courtney Turner, Rodney and Leigh Turner; grandchildren, Anna (Matt) Turner, Nikki Huntley, Addison Altman, Isabella Marlow, Jake Turner, McKayla Marlow, Kamie Turner, Jacey Turner, Daniel Garner, Haley Garner; great grandchildren, Tucker Wade, Elia Turner; brothers, Forrest Turner, Johnny Turner; sister, Maver Griffin and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Olin C. Turner, Jr.
The family will receive friend at Almon Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Dr. Matt Turner and Rev. Anthony Puckett officiating.
Pallbearers will be Dan Henderson, Daniel Silva, Jesus Silva, Charlie Almon, Chad Adams and Jeremy Tolbert. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Henderson, Mack Grizzard, Winton Akers and Dan Craven.
A private family burial will be held at his residence.
