Louise M. Young, 82, of Marionville, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 in the Aurora Nursing Center. She was born to Melvin and Frances (Fossett) Garringer on May 16, 1937 in Mount Vernon, Missouri. She worked in the cafeteria in the Marionville School and in housekeeping at the Methodist Manor.
Louise married Carol Young April 26, 1958. Louise and Carol loved traveling and made many trips in their motor home and spent many springs in Hawaii. Louise also enjoyed reading and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, Carol, of Marionville; one daughter, Carla Peterson, of Aurora; one son, Bruce Young (Diana Gaff) of Branson; daughter-in-law, Karen Young, of Marionville; one brother, Junior Garringer, of Lamar; one sister, Betty Foraker, of Springfield; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Randy Young, one brother, James Garringer, and on great-grandson, Jensen James Dent Jeffords.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, November 5 at 10:00 a.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery.
