Mary Elizabeth Taylor, age 75, died Saturday, September 16, 1916 at the home of her daughter in the southeast part of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She had been an invalid for the past nine years.
She was born in 1838 in Greene County, Tennessee, the daughter of Simeon and Eleanor (Waddell) Bird.
She was married twice:
1) Miss Mary Elizabeth Bird and Emanuel Crum were married October 2, 1856 in Greene County, Tennessee. He died or was killed on November 26, 1863 while in the military.
2) Mrs. Mary Crum and James Lafayette Taylor were married September 18, 1868 in Greene County, Tennessee, and he survives her.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her a son, William A. Crum; two daughters, Elizabeth McIntyre and Minnie Strickland; two brothers, William N. Bird and Caleb H. Bird; and two sisters, Rachel Blake and Martha Harrison.
Funeral Services were at 2:00 p.m., Sunday at the home.
Burial in Combs Chapel Cemetery, two miles southeast of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
