Son John Warren Crandall (mother Martha Jane MacGee) (1893-1917) was killed in WWI in Belgium. His body was not recovered.

Note: There were 2 Joseph Crandalls living contemporaneously in Moncton. This Joseph Crandall is 20 years younger than the 2nd -- was a pastor and was born in Nova Scotia.
The 2nd Joseph Crandall (1821-1902) was the son of Rev. David Crandall and Elizabeth Hopper and married to Francis Steadman. He was the Postmaster in Moncton.
There is also another Joseph Crandall -- Joseph B. Crandall, son of James Crandall and Elizabeth Fownes. They resided in St. Martins, Saint John. Joseph and his mother died on a visit to Caribou, Maine, in December, 1887. They were buried in Saint John.
