He was born in Jackson, TN on May 17, 1949 son of the late Quinton Algie and Lois Madge Conder Newman. He grew up in Henderson and was a 1967 graduate of Chester County High School. He also attended Freed-Hardeman College. He was a salesman for Her Majesty Clothing for about 15 years. He also followed in his father’s footsteps as a car salesman. He enjoyed running and in his later years playing golf. He loved big family gatherings and adored his granddaughter Harley.
He is survived by his two sons, Hunter Newman (Punyamon) of Denver, CO, Taylor Newman (Kinley) of Arvada, CO; a granddaughter Harley Newman; a brother Jason Newman (Robyn) of Jackson; a sister Madga Young of Henderson and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betsy Beshires.
