Joe Allen Green, 82, died Thursday October 24, 2019 at his home. He was born in Nicholas County, KY to the late Sherman and Thelma Gertrude Hollar Green.
He was a former jailer for Pendleton County, KY, police officer in Falmouth, KY, and also worked as a fireman and police officer in Lancaster, KY. Joe loved fishing and gardening, was an avid UK Fan, member of the Paris Christian Chapel and served in the National Guard for over 11 years.
He is survived by four children, Glenna Jo (Rob) Hardison, Connie (Tim) Whitaker, Vicki Bramblett and Jo Ann (Ian) Portwood; eight grandchildren, Rob Hardison, Elizabeth Hardison, Cecillia Rison, Leigha Rison, Jessica Vickers Bailey, Jordan Vickers, Josh Rison and Leslie Moore; several great grandchildren; one sister, Naomi (Don) Jolly and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Green.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Tuesday October 29, 2019 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Don Jolly with burial in the Barterville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Monday October 28, 2019 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Colis Ray, Jeff Doyle, Rob Elliot, Tim Jolly, Rickey Hedges, Joe Hedges and Richard Jolly.
Honorary pallbearers will be the late Rickey Bramblett, Johnathon Ritchie, Rob Hardison, Ian Portwood, Chris Eversole, Tim Whitaker, Michael Rhodes, Jordan Vickers and Josh Bailey.
