Donna Lou Barton, 87, of Coal Grove, OH, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2019 at the Hospice Care Center, Ashland, KY. She was born in Ironton, OH on April 13, 1932 to the late Dee and Dorothy (Hickman) Palmer. She was the wife of the late Richard Barton whom passed away May7, 2001.
Donna was a 1950 graduate of Ironton High School. She was a retired secretary and assistant treasurer for the Dawson Bryant School system. She enjoyed playing piano and organ for many different area churches through the years and most recently for, Plymouth Heights Nazarene Church, Franklin Furnace, OH.
Donna is survived by a son: Richard D. Barton; two daughters: Kim Ann Thacker of South Point, OH and Susan (Richard) Randolph of Franklin Furnace, OH; three grandchildren: Joshua D. Barton of Ironton, OH, Nicholas Thacker of Coal Grove, Oh, and Sarah Barton of Coal Grove, OH; eight great grandchildren: Zane, Adriana, Braidon, Joey, Autumn, Charlie, and Easton; a special nephew and niece: Asa and Becky Romine.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. 6th Street, Ironton, OH with Pastor Andy Ramey officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, 824 Lorain Street, Ironton, Ohio.
