Former school teacher Sandra Shae Guynn Dixon, 68, died peacefully on October 25 in Bay Springs, MS.
Ms. Dixon was born April 14, 1951, in Soso, MS, to Pat and Pauline Guynn. She is survived by her three children, Vickie Buquoi (Victor), Lonnie Meaders and Michael Meaders; her siblings Sandy Guynn (Helen), Melody Amis (Dan), Terri Smith (JE) and Tanya Rogacki (Kenny); her loving extended family Vera Bender, Cathy White and Nykeria Bender; and her best furry friend Rags.
Known as “Nana” by her grandchildren and “Mama Shae” by her many nieces, nephews and those who knew and loved her, she was a retired school teacher from Laurel and Jasper County Schools.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27 at 2 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs followed by a graveside service at Union Seminary Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association
