Minnie Lee Peebles Rogers, 74, of Midway, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, May 21,2017 while residing at Southern Springs Nursing Home in Union Springs, Alabama. She was born on February 13, 1943 to the late Ben and Rosie Peebles.
She confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined the Elizabeth Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. G.W. Smiley but later moved her membership to Fellowship Baptist Church. On March 9, 1974, she united in holy matrimony. She was employed with the State of Alabama for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by one son, Willie Joe Peebles. Survivors include: her husband; one daughter; two sons; two sisters; two brothers; one daughter-in-law; four brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a countless number of friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home, 109 Holcombe Avenue, Union Springs, Alabama.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church in the Pine Grove Community, 35 Fairview Road Midway, Alabama with Rev.Willie J. Glover officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements by Carter Funeral Home, 109 Holcombe Avenue, Union Springs, Alabama.
