VICTORIA - Karla Sue Howard Henry passed away on Feb. 2, 2010 from an extended illness, at the age of 50. On March 7, 1959, Karla was the fourth child born to Reece Howard and Wilma McClure Howard in Manhattan, Kan. She attended school in Carlsbad, N.M. and Victoria. Karla is survived by her son, Jason Lee Keith and wife Sylvia of Tivoli; grandchildren: Ciara, Cheyanne and Kaslyn Keith, and Chris Babour of Victoria; Justen Immenhauser and wife Elizabeth; granddaughters: Riley and Jillian of Corpus Christi; father, Reece Howard of Dover, Ark.; mother-and step-father, Wilma and Al Wagner of Victoria; sister, Sharon Howard Smith [Reed]; brother. Dale Howard [Kathy]; partner, Donny Blevins; and BFF, Munch, her dog. Karla was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Ray Howard in 1992, to whom she was extremely close. Karla will be remembered as the "free spirit" of the family. She had a big heart, took care of others - her "little people," and loved her animals and plants. She loved playing with her grandchildren and learning to text-message. Friends and family will miss her laugh and sense of humor. Karla was a "blue jeans and leather" kind of gal, loved being outdoors, and loved riding Harleys. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Rosewood Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mid Coast Counseling Services of Victoria or Women's Crisis Center. Words of comfort or a story may be shared with the family and friends during the service if someone would like to speak.
