John was a man of many hats. He enjoyed most of his career as a pilot, flying for both foreign and domestic airlines. He was an avid fisherman and spent as much time as possible fishing along the coast. He enjoyed hunting and was an excellent cook from a young age. John started cooking in his parent’s restaurant as early as 7th grade. He later owned several seafood restaurants for himself.
John was a caring and nurturing husband, father, grandfather and brother. He could also “story tell” with the best of them.
John is predeceased by his mother, Johnnie May Perez, father, Richard Henry Perez and brother, Larry Perez. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Dawn Perez, his children Shannon, John, Brandy, Kimberley, Shawn, Cody and Blane and many grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Ricky and wife Gail, sister Mary Ann and husband Mart, and brother Tommy.
