San Juana Olivas Hernandez went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2019 at the age of 64, in San Antonio, TX. She was born on July 2, 1955 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her father, Dionicio Olivas; daughter Alejandra Hernandez and brother, Augustin DeHoyos. San Juana is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Juan Manuel Hernandez, Jr.; mother, Gloria Hernandez; 3 children, Sandra Castro and husband Robert G., Claudia Johnson and husband Derek, and Jesus Emmanuel Hernandez and wife Emily; 3 sisters, Estella Rodriguez, Jacoba DeHoyos, and Mary Razo and husband Martin; 6 grandchildren, Jacob Daniel Castro, Joshua Noel Castro, Anissa Alejandra Castro, Abigail Lizette Castro, Robert M. Castro (Belinda) and Bryan Castro, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

A loving wife, mother and caregiver. San Juana “Janie” was a selfless person with a beautiful soul. For many years leading up to her passing, she fulfilled her passion for taking care of others. She made everlasting friendships with all whom’s lives she touched. San Juana will always be cherished for her gracious heart and loving arms. 

She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her dogs and spending precious time with her loving husband, family and friends. San Juana was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends especially over the holidays. 

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days. 
Flower and memorial donations may be sent to Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. 

Visitation will be Friday, October 25, 2019 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Chapel Service will be on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
