Diane (Rutter) Lawrence was the daughter of Clifford and Florence Rutter. She graduated from Lycoming College, Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Diane formerly lived in Buffalo, New York and Grand Island, New York. She was the wife of Charles "Chuck" Lawrence, III. They were married in 1985 - 30 years. They moved to Greenville in 2005. Chuck died July 20, 2015. Diane was active with the Adirondack Mountain Club and became a 46er after hiking the 46 high peaks in that range. She was also a competitive race walker, competing in the Marine Corps Competition and Senior Olympics winning her age range in both.
