EASTPORT - William Henry Chafee, 93, died Jan. 5 at a Weymouth, Mass. hospital following a short illness.
He was born at Indian Island, N.B. May 12, 1877, the son of Howard D. and Margaret (Justason) Chaffee.
He is survived by several grand children; one nephew, Hugh D. Chaffee, Eastport and several nieces, one of with whom he had resided with for several years, Mrs. Richard Lewis.
Burial will be at Indian Island Cemetery in New Brunswick.

Gravesite Details
The cemetery was so overgrown, Hugh Chaffee dug his grave somewhere near the rear of his mothers home.
